Final Sermons Volume Published
Sermons and Discourses, 1743-1758, edited by Sermons Editor Wilson H. Kimnach, was published this September by Yale University Press. This important volume marks not only the conclusion of the Works of Jonathan Edwards Sermons series, but also the final installment of sermons from Edwards' preaching career. It includes sermons from throughout the period of his dismissal, the writing of his greatest treatises, and of course, his fatal move to Princeton, NJ.
Masterfully selected, edited and annotated by Wilson Kimnach, this volume presents a fittingly dramatic conclusion to one of the great preaching careers in American history. Professor Kimnach's work on Jonathan Edwards' sermons is unparalleled; he offers a depth of insight into Edwards' thought life that is unavailable anywhere else. We look forward to further works from Professor Kimnach on Edwards' sermons and preaching, now that his massive contribution to the Works of Jonathan Edwards series is complete.
